Ruth A. (Snookie) NEILL of Riverdale passed away April 4, 2003, at the age of 56. Neill is survived by her son, James Neill; mother Nell Alls; and several cousins.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2003, at Dickson's Jonesboro Chapel with the Rev. Judy Dean WELLS, 58, of Zebulon, passed away April 5, 2003, at her residence. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Cathy; grandson, Dustin Cody Wells; and her parents, John William and Dorothy McClain Rhodes. Her family loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed.  She is survived by her former husband, Weldon Wells Jr. of Zebulon; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Debra Wells of Zebulon; daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Dale Baker of Griffin; brother, John Rhodes Jr. of Riverdale; sisters, Jean Stone of Doraville and Jackie Jacobs of Conyers; grandchildren, Blair Baker, Blake Baker and Doni Wells.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 8, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Moody Funeral Home with the Rev. David Harold JACKS, 85, of Jonesboro, passed away April 4, 2003. Jacks was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He WAS A VETERAN OF THE U.S. NAVY, WHERE HE SERVED IN WORLD WAR II. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert J. Jacks.  Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Hannah Jacks of Jonesboro; a son and daughter-in-law David and Gayle Jaskson; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Jacks; three sisters, Mr. and Mrs. J.F. Bruce of Stone Mountain, Mrs. J.T. Elrod of Athens and Mrs. Lois McGalliard of China Grove, N.C. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Tara Garden Chapel with Charles Carter and Dr. Worrell officiating. Cramer A. COKER Sr., 54, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2003. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Beverly R. Coker of Jonesboro; two sons, Cramer A. (Aly) Coker Jr. of Dallas, G., and Michael A. (Kelly) Coker of McDonough; daughter, Joanie A. Coker of Jonesboro; two brothers, James E. (Missy) Coker Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., and Steven (Jackie) Coker of Jackson; three sisters, Melissa M. Fred Quinton KNOX of Jonesboro passed away Friday, April 4, 2003.  He was born in Shelby County, Ala. Oct. 28, 1939. He was retired from Delta Air Lines.  A Memorial Service was held Monday, April 7 at Jonesboro United Methodist Church. The Reverends Jerry Newton and Kyle T. Smith of Jonesboro First United Methodist Church and the Reverends Charles Landreth and Oliver Wood of the First Presbyterian Church of Jonesboro officiated.  Survivors include his wife, Brenda, and their children, Janet Knox Dickson (Bruce), Jay Knox (Jim Foster), and Jill Knox Murray (Todd); grandchildren, Joshua and Holly Dickson, and Tony and Ronnie Murray; sister, Faye Kendrick; several nieces and nephews.  Memorials may be made to the Fred Knox Backyard Missions Team of Jonesboro United Methodist Church or the Good Shepherd Clinic medical mission of First Presbyterian Church of Jonesboro.

Mrs. Marie Davis COSTON, age 91, of Starke, Fla., died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at the home of her daughter following a long illness.  Born in Fort Myers, Fla. June 3, 1911, Mrs. Coston moved to Starke 16 years ago from Albany, Ga. Mrs. Coston was a member of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. Her husband, Albert Coston Sr., and sister, Mildred Autrey, preceded her in death.  Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13 at Crosby Lake Cemetery, with the Rev. Mr. Anthony ARCARI , 71, of Morrow, died Thursday, April 10, 2003.  MR. ARCARI SERVED HIS COUNTRY IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY ATTAINING THE RANK OF CORPORAL. HE SERVED IN THE KOREAN WAR AND RECEIVED THE PURPLE HEART AWARD. Mr. Arcari was born in Connecticut and moved to Clayton County about 20 years ago. He was a retired over-the-road truck driver and a member of the VFW.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 13 in the chapel of the funeral home. Mrs. Rose Marie Fay COFFEE, age 66, of McDonough, died Friday, April 11, 2003.  She was born Nov. 18, 1936, daughter of the late Gladys Louise McQuarter Fay and Thomas Henry Fay. Ms. Jill Bickel NELSON, age 47, of Stockbridge died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at her residence after a brief illness.  Jill was born July 25, 1955, in Detroit, Mich., daughter of the late Ione Anna Hoth and Kahle McCann Bickel. Mrs. Lenora Mae Bowen SHIVER, age 74, of McDonough, passed away Friday, April 11, 2003, at Crawford W. Long Hospital.  Mrs. Shiver was born March 10, 1929, in Poulan, Ga. to the late Albert H. Bowen and the late Lizzie Mae Kennon Bowen. Mr. Martin BROWN, 79, of Forest Park died at Emory University Hospital Tuesday, April 22, 2003, following complications from surgery.  Originally from Hanceville, Ala., HE SERVED AS A MARINE IN WORLD WAR II, was retired from Delta Air Lines, and was an avid fisherman of West Point Lake. After his retirement he became interested in genealogy, developing an extensive history of the Hyatt family. His parents, Joseph M. Brown and Annie Ola Hyatt Brown, brother, Alvin Brown, and sisters, Hester Brown Ray and Hazel Brown Edwards, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, April 24 in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Judy officiating. Mr. Raymond Z. ADAMS, 86, of Riverdale passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2003.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was the son of Will G. and Lilla (Clack) Adams. He was preceded in death by brothers John, Hiram, Claude, Horace, and Branson. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Paula (Sammie) Dee Tatum-Wheeler.
Mr. Adams is survived by wife, Nancy; two daughters, Carol Adams of Riverdale, Ga.; and Judy and husband, Kevin Clark of Lake Butler, Fla.; grandson, Brady Clark of Lake Butler, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Frances Adams and Carrie Adams; and several nieces and nephews.  Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 27 in the chapel at Parkway Garden Chapel, with interment to follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens. ANTHONY, of Riverdale, died April 24, 2003.  He is survived by his wife of 41 years, LeQuita Anthony of Riverdale; children, Sherry Hanson of Fayetteville, Tammy Dee Conner of Fayetteville, Darren Keith Anthony of McDonough; brother, Michael Earl Anthony of Columbus; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Capt. Ralph "Frank" WALDRIP (retired), 72, of Stockbridge, Ga., passed away on April 24, 2003 at Southern Regional Medical Center. A U.S. NAVY VETERAN OF THE KOREAN CONFLICT, Mr. Waldrip was also a retired Clayton County police officer and court bailiff. He was also a member of the Peace Officers Association.  Mr. Waldrip was survived by his wife, Rhoda Waldrip of Stockbridge, Ga.; three daughters, Sharon and her husband Thomas Israel of McDonough, Ga.; Jennifer and her husband Jack Bryan of McDonough; and Kathleen and her husband Pat Cochran of Stockbridge; two sons, Stuart Thomas Waldrip of Stockbridge, Ga. and Willis and his wife Vickie Wade of Temple, Ga.; five grandchildren, Allison Bryan and her husband Allen Jolley, Will Bryan, Zachary Israel, Jake Israel and Kaci Cochran; great-grandchildren, Kevin Jolley; sister, Azzie Johnson of Decatur, Ala.; three sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Moore of McDonough, Ga. Ann Mae Burpee Thompson EUBANKS of Lake City died Thursday, April 24, 2003 at Crawford Long Hospital.

Mrs. Flora Gertrude Bartlett BROWN, 96, of Carrollton, formerly of Lake City, died April 25, 2003. MaMa Brown, as she was known by her family and friends, was born May 25, 1906, in Fulton County, to Charles Daniel and Lou Ella (Harlin) Bartlett.  Mrs.Brown was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Stockbridge and a past president and the last surviving member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Gold Star Mothers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert (Coote) Newton Brown Sr.; daughter, Dorothy Conkling; sons, Robert Newton Brown Jr. and William Jasper (Jack) Brown; grandsons, Robert Newton Brown III and Franklin Hugh Brown Jr.; sisters, Mary Ethel Griffith, Nora Stephens, Eula Roberts, Edna Turner, Annie Kate Bartlett, Lou Ella Frawley and Laura May Bartlett; brothers, Robert E. Mr. Ricky CASH, 52, of Jonesboro, died April 24, 2003. He is survived by his sons, Jamie Napoletan of Alabama and Matthew Cash of Jonesboro; brothers, Jay Cash of Jackson and Eugene Cash of Chicago.  Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2003, at the Morrow Chapel. The Revs. Bryan Lee, Bob Willey and Karen Nelson will officiate. John E. (Jack) MORRIS Sr., of Riverdale, died April 29, 2003.  HE SERVED IN THE U.S. ARMY DURING WORLD WAR II and retired from Nabisco with 44 years of service.  Survived by wife, Myrtle Giles Morris; daughter, Sharon Morris Kimber; son, John E. Morris Jr.; brothers, James R. Morris and Donald H. Morris; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2003, at Carmichael-Hemperley Chapel with Ministers Wye Huxford and Billy Rowe officiating. Interment will be in College Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in East Point.  Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in East Point is in charge of arrangements.
