Dorothy Ann ELROD, 63, of Alvaton, Ga., passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2002.  Mrs. Elrod was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Rex.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 27 at Tara Garden Chapel with the Rev. Edward Elliott officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.  Survivors include her husband, Walter Ray Elrod; daughter, Sandra Ann Marlow of Alvaton, Ga.; son, Steven Ray Elrod of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Russell and Eddie Dale Marlow and Beth and Ashley Elrod; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Tara Garden Chapel, Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jeffrey Eugene ARTHUR, age 49, of McDonough, passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at the VA Medical Center in Atlanta.  Mr. Arthur was born Sept. 28, 1953, in Harrisonberg, Va. to the late Harold Lindsey Arthur Jr. He worked as a truck driver for Circuit City, SERVED HIS COUNTRY IN THE U.S. AIR FORCE, and was a member of Turner United Methodist Church.  Memorial services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1 in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Boggs officiating.  Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Irene Arthur and Tom Underwood of McDonough; daughters, JeriLea Lyn Sneed and Keri Lee Lynn Arthur, both of Conyers; sisters and brother, Karen Williams, Lindsey Arthur and Brent Arthur, all of McDonough.  Friends may visit the family 30 minutes prior to the service.  Haisten Funeral Home, McDonough is in charge of arrangements. John Richard "Dick" STEWART, 78, of 103 Cumberland Court, husband of Dorothy Lee Ivester Stewart, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at Richard Campbell Nursing Home, Anderson, S.C.  Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late John Riddle and Correne Sanders Stewart. He was a retired airline pilot with Northwest Airlines and A U.S. NAVY VETERAN OF WORLD WAR II. He was a member of the Lions Club and St. Paul United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Jeff Coats Bible Class.  Services will be at 3 p.m. today, Saturday, Nov. 30 at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ben Herlong and the Rev. Kirk Hendricks officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Darrow Webb, Lee Ivester, Erik Webb, Andy Lyle, Randy Smith, and Ernie Lyle.  Honorary escort will be members of the Jeff Coat Bible Class of St. Paul United Methodist Church.  Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a daughter, Holly S. Moss of Greenwood; son, John Stewart Jr. of Thomaston, Ga.; sisters, Virges Lyle of Greenwood and Rachel Chaney of Fair Play; grandchildren, Molly Brooks Chambers of Atlanta and Melissa Franklin of Little Mountain, S.C.; best friends, Senator John Drummond, Bill Gardner, and Frank Black, all of Ninety Six.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2 to 3 p.m.  Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church building fund, 301 N. Mrs. Julia Lynn ALLEN, 41, of McDonough, died on Nov. 29, 2002.  She was the daughter of Harold D. and Opal Saunders. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Hemphill Memorial Presbyterian Church and the co-owner/operator of A-138 Tire.  Survivors include her loving husband, Ed; children, Joshua Allen and Bradley Allen of McDonough; sisters, Brenda Holland of Stockbridge, Dianne Sims of McDonough, and Bunny Johnson of Jonesboro; brothers, Dean Saunders of McDonough, and Scott Saunders and David Saunders, both of Stockbridge; and mother, Opal Saunders of Stockbridge.  Funeral services will be held at Hemphill Memorial Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2002. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
